Technology happens when we’re not looking.
Keeping your WordPress site up-to-date is not just important, it’s vital! Failure to make updates may cause your site to crash. Or even worse…it could leave the door unlocked for hackers.

Keep your WordPress website up-to-date

(and secure – without having to do a thing!)

If you’re struggling with how you can possibly keep track of all the updates for your WordPress site (you’re BUSY – we know this), sign up for our Website Maintenance Plan. We built your website, so we know it like family!  We will ensure your website is up-to-date and working like it should – and you can do what YOU should be doing.

No surprises. If something breaks, we’ll fix it.

We have two plans, so you can choose what you need with no long-term commitment.  Once you sign up, we will dedicate support time each month for the length of your contract to maintain your website. Guaranteed.

NOTE: Maintenance plans are only available for WordPress sites we built with hosting access.

Yearly Option

$450 per Year
– or $37.50 monthly when you pay for a full year.

  • First update will be made immediately – and INCLUDES any major updates or overhauls your site may need. This is the best value if you know your website is outdated – or may become outdated within the year (yes…it happens!) We’ll take care of it!  (One-time major overhauls can cost $300-$500 alone!)
  • Subsequent updates will be made the last week of the month for a full year.
  • You’ll get 13 total updates with your contract – two the first month (initial date, plus another at the end of the first month; then updates at the end of the following 12 months.)  If your contract is activated after the 25th of the month, we’ll throw in an extra month of maintenance (since your first update would be considered at the end of the month.)
  • We’ll send you a notice to renew after the last month’s update has been made.

With a yearly plan, you’ll get 20% off any changes you’d like to make to your website – all year!  If you’ve been wanting to make some changes to your site for a while, you can get them done for less money!  (All changes will be invoiced as separate projects and will be based on time spent.)

Quarterly Option

$150 for Quarter Year
– or $50 monthly when you pay for 3 months.

This plan is for sites we built in 2019 and after ONLY!  If your site is older than that, it may be in need of major maintenance to get it up-to-speed. Consider a yearly plan instead! If you’re not sure, we can let you know before you purchase this plan. Contact us first!

  • First update will be made immediately.
  • Subsequent updates will be made the last week of the month for the next 3 months.
  • You’ll get a total of 4 updates with your contract – two the first month (initial date, plus another at the end of the first month; then updates at the end of the following two months.)  If your contract is activated after the 25th of the month, we’ll throw in an extra month of maintenance (since your first update would be considered at the end of the month.)
  • We’ll send you a notice to renew after the last month’s update has been made.

To Renew…or Not to Renew…

That is the question.

It’s your choice if you’d like to renew. We’ll send you a renewal notice when your contract ends and you can decide if you’d like to renew.  You will not get pestered, but we WILL follow up one time to make sure it didn’t slip past your radar. You’re busy. We get it!

Eyegate Design will not be responsible for updates and/or issues after your contract has expired. If you experience issues at any time, you can certainly contact us and we’ll figure out what it’ll take to get things fixed ASAP!  The cost to make updates outside of your contract will depend on how out-of-date your website is (and how much time has lapsed from the time your last update was done).  NOTE:  If you’re experiencing issues with your site, it’s probably too late!  Chances are good it will cost more to fix it than it would for a maintenance plan.  Websites get old, too…just like your phone or computer.

NOTE: All updates included must be technical in nature. They do NOT include text/content changes, typos, fixing broken links, or any other content-related changes/issues that have nothing to do with site/theme/WordPress/plugin updates.

Benefits

of Having a Maintenance Plan

  1. All updates to your site’s themes, plugins, and WordPress version will be performed monthly – automatically.
  2. Your site will be backed up prior to each update to ensure everything continues to work properly. If we discover an issue, we’ll troubleshoot and fix it.
  3. Any updates needed at your hosting level will be updated as well.
  4. If something breaks, we’ll take care of the problem.
  5. We’ll clean out and delete any old emails/spam that may have been stored on the server to keep things running smoothly.
  6. An anti-spam plugin (a $10/year value) will be installed (if it isn’t already) to help alleviate inappropriate emails/contacts coming through your website to your inbox.
  7. An SSL certificate will be added to your site (if it isn’t already) so visitors will see that your site is “secure”.
  8. If you experience a problem with your site, let us know and we’ll go in and get it fixed immediately. We’ll then test the site/problem to ensure things have been resolved.

And the best part: You don’t have to worry, follow-up, beg, plead, or cry at any point!  Just know it’s getting done and all’s well!  If there is a problem, we’ll fix it. Of course, if you’d like to know if there was a problem, we can keep you in the loop. Or not…!  It’s up to you.

Why Deal with All This?

Technology changes fast!  You get a new phone…then mere months later, it becomes an “old phone” because a newer version just launched! Argh!!!  Same thing with our tablets, computers, and apps. What happens when your rebel side chooses not to update your phone or your computer for a few months?  You think, “It’s a hassle and one more thing I gotta do when things still work (well, kind of…)!  Are all these constant updates something I really need?!”  Then… your device becomes slow and seems take on a mind of its own… or your battery life lasts about as long as the donut you put in front of a 10-year old.  Your devices are grinding coffee in the background to go with that donut!

Bottom line: things are getting outdated. Not only are you struggling…so are your devices!  If you’re still on an iPhone 4, you probably need to keep the thing plugged in all the time because the battery is constantly dead – and you can’t install anything…anymore. Yep. That’s what happens. We know…it can be too easy to blow off updates until you’re ready to deal with them (which may be never) – or you get sick of the constant reminders and hitting the “remind me later” or “try again tonight” button. Annoying, right?

Websites work the same way. WordPress is an open-source platform. Developers around the world are constantly making improvements and updates so things continue to run smoothly. They fix bugs and glitches, combat security loopholes, and add features.  WordPress itself gets updated, along with themes and plugins.  Sometimes updates outpace your website and they can’t be installed anymore (like your iPhone 4) or they “don’t play well with others”. Big problem. That means some backend work needs to be done to keep things going!  Inevitable. Technology changes, as mentioned…

Then there’s site security.  Updates can prevent hackers from reaching your website and causing mayhem. The longer you go without updating things, the more at-risk your website becomes!  Hacker heaven!  Do you really want them to steal your data, confidential information, and/or bury a lovely snippet of malware in there?  Nope. Thought not.  So you gotta keep on top of it!  If you want your site to run smoothly and efficiently, your website needs updates. Big ones, small ones, and everything in-between.

But who has time for all that?!  We do. And we’re here for you.

Let’s give your site visitors a great user experience!  Your website is important to you and your business – and it’s important to us, too!  If something does go awry during an update, we’ll restore your site to the previous backup and we’ll trouble shoot – and fix the problem.  If something is old and needs to be replaced with the latest and greatest, we’ll do it. (Major updates are only included with a Yearly Maintenance Plan – see plan specs above for details.) And the best part? YOU don’t have to worry because we’ll make sure everything is current, secure, and running like a champ!

Please let us know if you have any questions about your website, or if you’d like to strategize what might (realistically) work best for you. We’re here to help!
